Striking

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground. MMA draws from a variety of other martial arts and combat sports such as Muay Thai, kickboxing, wrestling, judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. MMA integrates striking (punching, kicking, elbows, and knees), takedowns and throws, and submissions by joint manipulations/locks, and chokes. This program is designed to push your fitness to the next level and build on the skills you already have.  It can be viewed as a great compliment to our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and/or Lady’s Self-Defense programs as well as an introduction to the world of martial arts.  Most practitioners will experience a sense of completeness when they add this program to their training regimen.
